Everybody knows that lip care requires attention - even when talking about the application means. There must not be the risk to tear or to cut the lips at any time. That means in case of a plastics product: there must be the guarantee that there will not be any burr or flash. Otherwise the cosmetics industry will not accept the packaging product.
This requirement was the essential condition for our technical staff when designing a mould set for the production of plastic collapsible tubes for lip care. At the same time it must be pointed out that avoiding burrs is equivalent to avoiding the mere possibility of mould displacement and thus of cutting edges.
Our technicians did their job. The effort was worth it! They reached the goal and found a way to put this condition into reality!
